Fourth Man Charged In Connection To Teen's Murder At Massapequa Preserve

A Hempstead man has become the latest charged with second-degree murder in connection to human remains that were found in the Massapequa Preserve in May, Nassau County Police said.

Detectives found the body of Uniondale resident Bryan Steven Cho Lemus, 28, on May 24 in the preserve during a search of the area. It is alleged that they had been buried there in August 2016 by MS-13 gang members who allegedly killed him.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, Nassau County Police investigators announced that they arrested Christian Rodriguez, 22, who was charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Three other arrests have been made in connection to the case. Three other alleged gang members have also been arrested for the crime and charged with murder including Raul Ponce, 19, Samuel Ponce, 18, and Stanley Gerson Juarez, 22, all from Hempstead.
